When Life Feels Upside Down,
Therapy Can help!
Life pushes you to bend, twist and turn in all sorts of ways, often leaving you feeling like life has been turned upside down. Right side up therapy strives to help you separate the challenges and identify strategies, insight, and new ways of enriching life to reach your potential and realize your hopes, dreams, and goals.
Therapy is a journey in which you will over time, learn how to see the forest through the trees, gaining self-awareness and perspective. However, the journey is driven by you, and the working relationship we create together.
Psychotherapy and the process each person experiences is unique and varies depending on the personality of both the therapist and the patient as well as the particular problems the patient brings to treatment. Therapy is most beneficial when independent work is done in between sessions. To this end, at the end of most sessions, I will make suggestions on topics to read and learn more about or strategies to work on in between sessions, it will be important to do this work at home and to be as engaged in our sessions as possible.
About Me

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 15 years of experience dedicated to supporting individuals through complex life challenges. Since 2009, I have provided trauma-informed clinical care, and I have successfully managed my private practice since 2011. My work is defined by a deep commitment to helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, adjustment disorders, and significant life transitions.
In addition to my private practice, I bring 13 years of leadership and clinical expertise from the public school system. Currently serving as a Therapeutic Program Social Worker, my background includes pivotal leadership roles such as Assistant Principal and Special Education Administrator. This dual perspective—clinical and administrative—allows me to offer a comprehensive level of support to my clients, particularly those navigating complex institutional systems.
A Global, Trauma-Informed Perspective
My clinical foundation was built across a diverse range of settings, including crisis intervention, domestic violence services, developmental disabilities, and healthcare. This breadth of experience is further enriched by six years spent living and working abroad—three years in Latin America (Ecuador and Honduras) and three years in Europe (England and Switzerland).
Having navigated the complexities of ex-pat life firsthand, I possess an intimate understanding of the cultural and linguistic nuances that shape our identities. I am proficient in Spanish and French, and I am pleased to offer therapy in both languages to bridge gaps for the communities I serve.
